Since the 1980s, PC X servers have been used by millions of engineers and network administrators to access applications on remote UNIX/Linux servers. Users have long been frustrated by losing their remote sessions when the connection between the Windows PC and the host is severed unexpectedly.
Add Persistency to your Sessions
In November 2007, StarNet revolutionized the PC X server by adding Session Persistency to its flagship product, X-Win32. Now StarNet is also bringing session persistency to Exceed and Reflection X by way of our Recon-X add-on.
Running your Exceed & Reflection X sessions through Recon-X allows you to:
Recover sessions after a Windows crash or a network or power failure.
Suspend your sessions at the end of the day, turn of your PC and resume the sessions in the morning.
Start a session on one PC, suspend it, and resume it on another without closing down the session on the host.
Work at LAN-like speed even when connecting over slow Internet connections.

Recon-X for Exceed/ReflectionX significantly boosts productivity by eliminating the time-intensive process of closing and restarting remote applications when you have to shut off your desktop workstation at the end of the day and resume your work in the morning. You no longer have to recreate data that is lost when a remote session crashes, and you can finally access your remote desktops from anywhere, at LAN-speed and work without the fear of losing the session when Windows crashes or the power or network fails.
How It Works
Just install Recon-X on the Windows client and the LIVE Server component on the Linux/Unix host. Then start Exceed or Reflection X and boot the Recon-X client. After setting up the Recon-X session simply click “Start Session” and your remote Unix/Linux desktop will be displayed. Now you can suspend the session using the Recon-X user interface.
