Where Can I Find My License

Staring in version 8, licenses are now stored in a file called license.config making it easier for users to obtain their actual licenses and to transfer Floating licenses from one user to another.

A license monitor was implemented in version 8.2 which allows the user to gather information about his licenses directly from X-Win32 itself.

1. Start X-Win32
2. Right Click on the System Tray icon > Support > Licenses
3. Highlight the My Licenses or Shared Licenses menu to view the location of your license.config file



4. Expand the menu to view your installed licenses. The license with the (*) next to it is the current license in use.

Node Locked

The license for a Node Locked license is located to the right of the VN label

Floating

Floating licenses are hundreds of characters long and cannot fit into the License Monitor Window.

1. In the License monitor highlight the My Licenses or Shared Licenses menu to view the location of your license.config file
2. Click on the link to the right to go to the containing folder
3. Open the license.config file in notepad
